HEP Graduation

Details: HEP at WSU was proud to boast an 86% graduation rate from Cohort 9 that ran from September 5th to October 6th here on the Pullman campus. Graduate families from all over Washington joined WSU staff on October 6th to congratulate 4 of the graduates on earning their GED with cake, refreshments and encouraging words. WSU CAMP Student Places 2nd In Professional Clothing Fashion Competition.

Details: CAMP student Kristina Mercado placed second place for a project supported by WSU First Lady Noel Shulz. Students in AMDT 492 were tasked to create a professional women’s Washington State University spirit wear for women over 30. Kristina's design is under consideration for mass production.

First-Generation Abroad in Rome

Details: First-Generation Abroad is WSU’s study abroad program designed exclusively for students who are first in their family to attend college. Last summer, first generation students traveled to Rome.

CAMP Student Present for Supreme Court Immigration Deliberation

Details: CAMP student, Adilenne Villanueva, had the opportunity to intern in Washington D.C. this Summer and had the opportunity to witness the Supreme Court deliberate on executive actions put forth by President Obama: DAPA, Deferred Action for Parents of Americans, and Extended DACA, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.
