Yesli is a first generation student from Wenatchee WA, aspiring a bachelors in English with a Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certificate (TEFL) and a Spanish minor. They are currently part of the Multicultural Mentoring Program; The Chicanx Latinx Student Center & Asian American Pacific Islander Student Center, intern at the International Center, and a WSU Athletics tutor. As well as being involved in different student organizations: The Crimson Group, MECHA de WSU, CASHE Conference and APASC. Yesli’s ultimate goal is to establish a Non-Profit organization dedicated to bringing education to third-world countries. Their passion lies in working with marginalized communities which is why they are excited to work with HEP and witness these individuals in these communities receive education and attain their General Education Development (GED). They are enthusiastic to be part of an organization that empowers and uplifts disadvantaged individuals through education.
